To want an insider trading inquiry on Kwasi and Lizz

So the day mini budget was declared, Kwasi partied with hedge fund managers, who later admitted to shorting pound.

Kwasi and Liz knew the likely impact on pound if there were tax cuts. They were warned by experts, also Rishi Sunak predicted devaluation of pound in case of tax cuts.

So they knew all along and went ahead, and on top Kwasi had drinks with hedge fund managers. And then a week later, took a u turn. So can there be an investigation on who benefitted from the lowering value of pound?

I hate that in UK politicians get away with so much crap. Can public show some anger for yet another potential scandal or at the best really harmful policy?

The Good Law Project are already looking at it. Have a look at their twitter.

Yes, it’s very concerning. I can’t wait for those two to be gone.

There's no such thing as insider trading for foreign exchange, insider trading relates to equities, it doesn't cover FX.

Surely, anyone reading the Sun newspaper (for example) had 'insider knowledge' the day before the 'mini-budget'?

It may not be an insider trading as such but it's still unethical. This mini budget caused pound devaluing and people known to Kwasi benefitted. Then a week later, they took a u turn. There should be some investigation.

Yes, it may not be insider trading as such but people known to government benefitted and chancellor met those who shorted pound for drinks. There must be some investigation.

Problem is when posters like you start acting like lawyers for Tory by distracting the attention away from bigger picture that their policy caused damage and benefitted some. Should you not be angry or did you also short the pound?!

How about investigation on who benefitted from this 10 day long policy which caused massive financial loss?
