AIBU, kids swing seats in or out in the winter

Had a heated discussion with my husband about kids swing seats,he said he is going to take them down (for the winter)and put them in the shed (as he did last year) and I said not yet we have few more weeks nice weather and our children use them (autistic and with sensory processing disorder), he threw a tantrum how he is not coming out in November freezing his to take them down. He really annoyed me I feel like I am dealing with a kid not a 40+ person. Do everyone take swing seats in for the winter?
Am I being unreasonable?

meant to say he said freezing his "derriere" in not so polite way

Nope - they stay out all year! Kids even use them in winter.

Can't the kids go on them in the winter? Why not? It's just a swing?

No…ours stay out all year, and the kids use them most days. We just wrap up warm/wear waterproofs. My DC are also autistic and really benefit from being outdoors, I’d rather have to replace the swings more frequently if they got weather worn (although they’ve been outside for 4 years now and still fine) than take them away.
Your husband is very odd.

Where do you live? If it’s Alaska maybe he has a point. If it’s the UK then he’s being downright strange and I’ve never heard of anyone taking them down. I’ve taken my kids to the swings in the park (no space at home for them) when it’s been sub freezing loads of times, I used to live in Chicago and my cut off was generally -10 Celsius or an inch of snow!

I don't know anyone who takes them down for winter. Kids are in parks all year round. It's only in the very bitter wind that my GC wouldn't be playing out.

Very odd, we’re getting a swing set soon and I have no intention of removing the swings at any point, we go to the park all year round so why wouldn’t we use equipment at home all year round too?
