To think it's now acceptable to wear socks and sandals?

Been noticing a trend recently of people wearing their socks pulled up over their leggings and personally, I think it looks quite good.

However, also being seeing online people wearing socks pulled up over leggings with Birkenstock type sandals so just wondering is this now an acceptable fashion statement?

I always associated sandals and socks with old men or unfashionable dads 🤣 the grampa look! Has it shifted now?

Ugh! Mind, I can't stand leggings either, or skinny jeans, so maybe I'd better just tiptoe away now! ;-)

I wear socks and crocs in summer and on holiday! I do think the grandpa trend is coming back into style 😂 I'm young ish and it's a big trend in my age group!

Definitely acceptable. The younger generation value comfort and the days of "fashion is pain" are over!

I have a pair of sliders which I confess I have worn with socks. I look daft. I know I look daft 😂
I do it if I am just nipping to the corner shop or something and can't be bothered with putting my trainers on.

Yes definitely. Knitted chunky socks with Birkenstocks is definitely a thing. I love it

Ugly, unflattering clothing seems to be in fashion generally. I'm not sure if it's meant to be ironic. It is comfortable though, so maybe that's the ultimate joke?

It's very confusing.

socks with sliders & birkies or even heels was definitely a thing in the 90s.
