Do you know any male primary school teachers who are very young, as in 25 and under?

If so, what type of person would you say they are, would you have thought they were a teacher if you met them and got to know them?

Yes my son's year 6 teacher and yes perfect teacher material.

I had a younger male teacher when I was 9/10. We thought he was quite cool then: we'd probably find him quite boring now.

Yes - I’m a TA for one. 2nd year of teaching. I’ve been moved away from the teacher I generally work with to support him as he’s only in his second year of teaching and I’m relatively experienced.
He’s a lovely guy. Very good with the kids (Year 6 and can be a handful - some big characters in there!) - he’s calm and kind but knows when and how to assert himself.
I have no idea whether I’d have said he was a teacher if I’d met him outside of work. I’ve only known him since the start of term.

Yes, several at DD’s primary and I also know a couple who are secondary teachers via DD’s music school.

They’re invariably what you would think of as classic nice young man teacher material — very clean cut, cheerful, professional, friendly, clearly also quietly ambitious. All smiles, cheerfulness and pressed suits. You can imagine them aiming for deputy Head ASAP! Tbh they all seem like they were only very recently recently Head Boys themselves!

My son’s reception teacher was under 25. He was absolutely fantastic. One of the best teachers either of my kids have had.

My sons current year 2 teacher is early 20s, he is great, the kids love him.

There’s 2 in my daughters school. both amazing (I was a bit worried as they were NQTs).

There's only 1 male teacher in my DC's school and I'd say he's early 20s. He did some training in DD's class when she was in Y2 (he was in the class photo so he's on my wall!), then last year he did his first proper year of teaching, in Y6. Now he teaches Y4 and DD was very sad to be in the other class. He's also the boys' football coach. The kids seem to love him!
