To wear black tights to a wedding next month?

It’s an end of October wedding. My brother is getting married. Can I get away with black tights? My dress is burgandy, my shoes are black and bag is black.

Don't wear opaque ones, too office like. If you want black then go sheer, will look much nicer

I'd not wear sheer black tights to an all day function. When they get laddered they look rubbish. I'd also make sure I had spare opaques because I'm bad at tights...

Gorgeous dress! But I think nude tights would look more flattering tbh.

The problem is I’m wearing peeptoe shoes. They’re the only heels that don’t hurt my feet (they’re block heels). Someone said black opaque tights look better with peeptoe, but skin colour ones don’t look right with them.

I think nude tights look very granny-ish, I’m not a fan. I’d much rather wear black tights, wouldn’t make any difference that it was a wedding!

I think black tights will look too worky. I would go for a flesh colour

Greendalerocket · 30/09/2022 13:38

Thanks for all the advice.

I’ve got black opaque 80 denier from Snag or some Pretty Polly barely black tights. I’m leaning towards the Snag ones.

In that case OP maybe some black opaque with a striking print/pattern? If all other accessories are plain that could look good?

VerbenaGirl · 30/09/2022 14:15

Fine I think. Nice dress!

londonrach · 30/09/2022 14:20

Beautiful dress.

ChagSameachDoreen · 30/09/2022 14:29

Grey?

I agree with your decision.
