Weird to take 6 month DS to soft play alone?

Is it pointless?

i had plans with another mum that fell through but I still want to take DS

will I look weird obviously I’ll just be holding him and helping him explore

also slightly concerned if there’s aggressive children/ toddlers don’t want him to get pushed or anything (not sure if I’m overthinking as it’ll be our first time)

Not really much there for an immobile six month old, unless it has something like a sensory room.

If he's crawling, it could be fun.

I don't think it's weird. I used to take my baby on my own all the time. :)

I did.
Quite enjoyed it

I took mine when he was of crawling age. I hated it as loads of energetic kids everywhere and he couldn't do anything really, plus found it really depressing for some reason. Ours is all inflatable too so hard work keeping balance while holding a heavy baby and trying to avoid manic kids!

Not in any hurry to go back, much prefer being outdoors whatever the weather!

If he can't sit up unaided or crawl it might be a bit pointless and a waste of money.

I started taking my son at about 8 or 9 months old when he could crawl and started pulling himself up etc. He's 10 months now and loves it as he can climb and play.

If he can move it might be quite fun. If he can't then he will get nothing from it (unless it has an area with toys/sensory stuff). Go if you really want to go to a soft play, but he'll get no more out of it than going to a cafe.
