to ask for recommendations for a good pair of thermal PJs and a decent hotwaterbottle?

Only it's got a bit chilly up my way over the last night or two.

DH keeps nicking both duvets (10.5 and 4.5tog - in festive autumnal covers which have been thru a hot wash, line dried and ironed) so when I get up for a wee I get back to...nothing.

Suggestions?

I love my Hottie microwaveable hot water bottle. It's fleecy, and stays hot all night.

And I find a good hard tug at the duvet deals with the cover hoggers. No mercy!

Ah...microwave - excellent!

I'd be useless with a kettle and end up in A&E

I have an electric hot water bottle which is great (stays warm for ages) and safer.

Pixiedust1234 · 27/09/2022 13:48

Get single duvets.

Inspired by different thread: demand from your husband to keep you warm with his own body heat 😂

BMW6 · 27/09/2022 13:49

When you get back to bed and he's hogged both duvets, pull both off him completely.

Do it every time until he learns.

greenacrylicpaint · 27/09/2022 13:51

uniqlo thermal pj
agree with pp - single duvets to lrevent hogging.

VeronicaBeccabunga · 27/09/2022 13:53

If you have a sewing machine you can make a cloth bag out of something like old pillowcase fabric and fill it with 'value' rice for a microwaveable heated pad thingy.
I've got two so that when it's horribly chilly I have one for my feet and one to cuddle.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/09/2022 13:55

Primark do good fleecy pyjamas. They’re not thermal, though.

I’d be nudging my husband awake to retrieve some covers. if it was me.

andtheweedonkey · 27/09/2022 13:59

@xogossipgirlxo That would be a last resort. Wink
I thought @MNHQ would have had a suggestion or two...

@BMW6 Best if I don't - he's got a heart condition and due to the shock...I really CBA spending any more hours in an ambulance/A&E.

I'm just intrigued by you informing us that they had been washed, line dried and ironed. Why do we need that information?

andtheweedonkey · 27/09/2022 14:03

I might just add a third 13.5tog starting on my side. He'll still have it all by 4am. 🤦‍♀️

🤔@Cwcwbird totally irrelevant, but they're the rules around here, aren't they?

Hi there, please say more about an electric hot water bottle? Never heard of such a thing.
