Eat what you want! Everyone else does, talks loudly, lets their kids scream their heads off and run up and down the carriage, have rows, get drunk, fall asleep on you etc etc. I hate travelling by train!

Assuming it's not just the three of you in the carriage (in which case if the train was quiet you'd have moved), everyone else now has a true assault on the senses: loud phone conversations and tuna stinking up the carriage.

Someone ate an entire boxed takeaway pizza opposite me the other day on the train. Was jealous as it smelt nice but listening to him eat was gross

maybe Pret shouldn’t be allowed to sell smelly salads in train stations! I just grabbed the first option not thinking about the smell.

I treated myself to first class too and it’s still got noisy people. These people were on the speaker on their phone to their lawyer about some property sale - you could hear the lawyer typing away full blast over the phone. Bonkers. They looked surprised when I asked them to turn it down a bit.
