Who do you write the christening card to

The baby is 2 so I write it to the baby or parents

I’ve always written them to the child, with some words of guidance or a meaningful poem, on the assumption they’ll be kept as keepsakes for when said child is of age. I might be entirely wrong that they’re ever kept, though.
