To ask, what’s your favourite aftershave?

I want to get DH a new aftershave/cologne, he doesn’t usually wear it but has hinted he might like one.

I haven’t bought fragrance for so long apart from in an airport and it seems you can’t just rock up to Boots and spray hundreds anymore, you need to ask so need some indication of what smells nice!

So please can I have some ideas?

Chanel Bleu sends me weak at the knees

Armani pour home does odd things to me (but bad things to my bank balance these days!). Have not found a nicer scent in 30 years. Oh, my, now I feel old 😂

Tom Ford tobacco vanille is amazing I wear it although I'm a woman
I like Chanel allure when my husband wears it

Another vote for Mont Blanc explorer, absolutely divine

I'm not such a fan of Issey myaki, too "fresh" for my liking, although it's obviously liked by many others so it comes down to personal taste really

Terre d'Hermes is really, really lovely as is Sean John Unforgivable

I always buy that for DH as soon as his bottle is nearly empty. I like it far more than he does but will wear it for me.

He likes Kenzo Jungle because he had it on his only ever boys holiday in Tenerife when he was 18 and thinks it's the fucking biz. It's not. It stinks. And he's in his forties now. Get over it. Ew.

I know, that’s why I’ve never bought it for my DH because even though I love it that would be weird 🤣

Armani Gio is a good one too.

Old school Dior Fahrenheit
Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma is so lush and beautiful. But it’s a cologne not an aftershave, though light and fresh.

Chanel bleu.

It's divine.

Eau Sauvage, the proper one (although even that isn't the same now) is my favourite, and I agree with PP about Chanel Bleu - I got a sample of it when I bought some perfume and wore it myself.

Mr Socks wears Obsession for Men which I love on him, but I'm not sure I'd like it on anybody else.

Rapport. Saw it in the B and M store. Reminds me of the 1980s.
Sauvage is pretty good to be honest, but costs about 100x more .

I like issey miyake, but really love invictus. I find it very "manly"

Another one for Kouros, there's something irresistible about it 😊

My vote is Old Spice. Add a charcoal grey suit, white shirt, tie and a good haircut. Sex on legs in the early 60's

Prada Intense. Not the cheapest but well worth the price. My husband receives so many positive comments when he wears this. A little bit goes a long way.

I only wear issey miyake original and loccitaine eau de baux.
