I know the funeral was only today, but when he announced that William would be Prince of Wales, I thought it may have been included then. Perhaps it’ll be later on.

He and Sophie fully deserve it and I believe it was also understood that he would become the DofE when the title reverts back to the crown after the deaths of both the Queen and Prince Phillip.

The RF are having a week of mourning so it's been reported The King will be making no announcements until after 26th

It'll probably be done as more of a celebration for Edward and the DofE awards, AND as a rehash of patronages etc. So not the sort of thing to be done whilst in mourning.

Isn’t it a hereditary title though? So their son would then receive the title. Charles might not want that.
