To think that if you believe rape victims should be spat at, you are a misogynist?

How can anyone think this is decent behaviour?

How did we get here?

When did this become acceptable?

Yeah it's disgusting.
I wish I was shocked.

Clearly not acceptable. Twitter really brings out the worst in people too doesn't it.

(And as an aside I wish it wasn't the DM reporting on it, I don't like to give them clicks.)

There are ways forward where we can support people with gender identities and protect women as a sex class. But I'm sure social media like Twitter is making things worse, it's not designed to make people empathise, connect, or find solutions. People get entrenched in camps and then shout abuse at each other. While failing to see the abuse coming from their own side because the algorithm isn't showing them that. Horrible place.

Yes I think Social Media has a lot to answer for.

Some lunatic was on there today saying that Fergie didn't get as much abuse as Meghan, because she was white. But people were saying actually she did, it's just that social media wasn't around so by definition it was limited to the media and people being nasty in the pub.

I just cannot understand how people can look at this sort of thing and imagine that they are on the right side of history. It's unbelievable.
