To still feel rankled by the injustice of it

A few years ago, a friend in my mum-friend’s group accused me of something I didn’t do. I called her out on in a group setting because there was lots of he said/ she said and it’s widely accepted I didn’t do what I was accused of. Friend never spoke to me again and has never apologised. It made things really difficult and I was very upset for a long while.

Bumped into a group of friends the other day and she was there. Whilst I was talking to my friends, she turned her back on me and stayed that way until I left.

I most think it’s ridiculous but it really irritated me as well. Like - YOU did something to ME, why are you turning your back on me?! It does drive me mad a bit, which is probably what it’s designed to do but still.

Probably embarrassed and didn’t know where to put her face, so went with that.
