Sort of.

Dm offered to buy a wardrobe for Dds (2) room. She said she’d like to get a really nice one, mum is generally quite generous.
I was really grateful and we went to the shop to pick one out, I’d looked online and the one I liked or similar style was plain white, very simple to match the colours in her room etc. When we got there, she was looking around at all different ones, saying why didn’t I get one with more colour (one had primary colours that I wasn’t keen on) I said I didn’t like them and just wanted the plain white/cream as her room is soft colours. She really tried to push it and pulled faces and became quite entitled, giving off the vibe that she was paying for it so should choose (this wasn’t said outright, but I know my mum)
I ended up saying I’d get it myself another time as this was the one I wanted. She ended up buying it.
Aibu to feel pissed off and prefer she never even offered and to just buy it myself (which I don’t mind)
Annoying!

@wizzywig 🤣 Not the same, but it did remind me of our shopping trip as I just read it! 😅
