We attended a family wedding in France very recently, a lot of the guests on EasyJet had their return flights cancelled……some with only an hours notice.
The bride and groom booked 2 flights with different airlines just in case.

They do fly on Bank Holidays but I think it would also depend on the airport, I read somewhere that a no fly zone over London will be in place.

They won't cancel flights because it's a BH. They may cancel for other reasons like a plane having mechanical problems. I don't think the risk is any higher than any other day!
