Hello last week we booked a hotel for 2 nights.
At the time it was around 25 degrees both days.
We paid £248 for a deluxe double for two nights and paid in advance.
Arrived at the hotel and checked in to the room.
Got to the room and the aircon was broken,not only broke but it was stuck on 28 degrees and couldn't be turned off.
You would click the off button and it popped back on.
The window opened a crack but didn't absolutely nothing as 28 degree heat was coming out of the unit.
Went down to reception who told us "oh yes it's the same in over 100 rooms,we are waiting for a engineer "
Checking trip advisor it's been the same way for over a month.
No mini fridge for drinks or water In room.
Hotel was full so no chance of a room change.
Arrived after 4pm Sunday so shops were closed so couldn't get a mini fan.
Had to go out the next day to buy a fan.
My partner suffers from brittle asthma and this was really bad for him ,luckily he had his nebuliser with him.
I complained and they offered me a 15% refund
Aibu to think that's not really good enough?
Sleeping was unbearable
I'm not a complainer...if the AC was just broken then we would of been okay ..but the constant heat just made us feel sick.
