Joint birthday party for 3rd and 5th birthday?

DS and DD turn 3 and 5 in 3 months or so, also due a baby around their birthdays (poor planning I know). They haven’t had a proper birthday party before due to covid mainly and I feel they would both love one this time especially as DS has just started school.

DS has just started reception so I can invite his class and DD does go to nursery but I don’t know many of the children there and she’s due to start at the preschool at my DS school once she turns 3 so wouldn’t be many kids I’d be inviting for her but we have family/ friends children we’d invite for her. Would it be ok to do a joint one to save money/ time/ friends and family attending 2 birthday parties in space of a couple of weeks all with me having a tiny newborn baby.

Wouldn’t expect DS class friends to get DD a present obvs. I probably wouldn’t even include it being a joint party on their invite…would this be ok? How would you do it? Anyone any party ideas to suit both 3 and 5 year old, not too much hassle/ stress for parents please

For no hassle or stress I'd book a softplay or other play venue where they do everything right down to the party bags and all you need to do is show up with a cake.

For the 5yr old put his details on the invite and for the 3yr old put her details on so each is inviting their own friends to their own party. For joint friends/family put both names on.

Thanks! Definitely need an easy party, I just hate soft play parties 🤣

Good idea with the invites I thought maybe this was best option x
