Buyer just pulled out of sale

I don't know what to do about this, I suspect nothing but I'm just so frustrated!!
We heard back about the survey done on the house from our buyers. The surveyor has threatened them with death from a lethal build up of gas in the chimney from a blocked flue and no ventilation, and said it's going to cost £4k to fix so they've pulled out.
The thing is, the chimneys capped off, all gas has been removed as the back boiler was replaced and pipework relocated and there's ventilation in the chimney upstairs, she just didn't bother to ask/look!
It's a blatant lie and it's caused our buyers to drop out. We've just had our mortgage offer for the place we're buying and all searches have been sent off so we're in a good place there and I really don't want to lose the purchase because of what's happened.
I'm so frustrated, angry, upset, disappointed and I don't know what to do. We put the house straight back on the market, I guess that's all I can do, but the surveyor just gets away with it. How is this right?!
She was vile to us when she was round. Nose in the air, nearly broke the window trying to open it (restrictors) and just kept tutting. Wouldn't even look at us or speak to us. It's an ex council house and she certainly made us feel like scummy shit on her shoe. Instantly knew the report was going to come back bad.

Have you got the certificates / invoices to show what has been done to make the chimney safe? Would the buyer stick around if you could demonstrate the work the surveyor has identified has already been done?
Buying and selling is stressful. I hope you find a proceedable buyer - either this one or a new one- soon

Yes, the gas Safe certificate has been sent to our solicitors regarding the boiler/gas work! No sarcasm intended, although it will probably sound like it, but their own eyes will prove that there's also ventilation already installed!
They haven't stuck around. Heard the word 'lethal' being thrown around and did a runner. The estate agent tried to convince them but if I'm honest, she wouldn't send me the survey until they'd actually bolted so I'm a little annoyed at that too. We could've smoothed things over if we knew what was actually on it. They offered £16.5k less on the property and when we obviously refused they then had no interest.
