To ask about our new govt - will forming the new government be affected by the news today?

Just curious, and haven’t been able to find anything specific on this online,
probably because it’s quite a unique situation.

Does anyone know if the news about the Queen today - and the period of mourning over the next few days - will affect Liz Truss’ plans to finish appointing junior ministers and finalise forming her government?

I’ve read that Parliament will be adjourned for the next 10 days etc, but just wondering more about whether this government is actually fully formed yet, and if not, whether the Queen passing will affect that.

It's pretty much done to be honest. (Civil Servant) we've received guidance on protocol during the mourning period this evening. Basically, don't do anything flashy or public facing but continue to deliver public services as usual. So the junior appointments can continue to be made but the appointees should not issue press releases or hold briefings about how pleased they are.
