to find Zoopla much better than Rightmove

When you property search on a map, it shows prices rather than just pins.

It has many more price bands so you can search for what you can afford.

You can search by keyword in the filters if you have special requirements.

It can show you the listing history of each listing so you know how long it was on the market at any price point.

Although to be fair, RIghtmove has a nicer colour scheme

I prefer it too.

I don't understand why people naturally gravitate to Rightmove.

May be a bit of a feedback look - as Rightmove is more popular, it appears higher in Google searches, and so Rightmove becomes yet more popular.

Personally I cannot stand Zoopla, I find Rightmove so much easier to navigate and find relevant information.

But I'm so used to it and use it almost daily, so I wonder if it's just the familiarity I like?

pimlicoanna · 08/09/2022 14:34

I much prefer Rightmove!

knickersniff · 08/09/2022 14:35

Rightmove so much better

@knickersniff @pimlicoanna Why do you prefer it? @Mildura says RM is easier to navigate, which I don't really agree with, but each to their own.

However I have listed four features which Zoopla has which Rightmove doesn't. Objectively that makes it more useful.

I wonder how much it costs estate agents to advertise on Rightmove vs Zoopla (vs OnTheMarket vs PrimeLocation...). I am surprised that most estate agents choose to advertise on all these aggregator platforms.

Zoopla and Primelocation are owned by the same company, so agents don't need to sign up separately.

Rightmove is around three times the cost of Zoopla and about four times the cost of Onthemarket.

Rightmove is very close to monopoly status.

I find rightmove a bit more user friendly, I can’t even say why - I just prefer navigating it to zoopla.
