That looks fairly normal to me…? I usually have small clots like that, it’s the lining.

Notsure94 · 08/09/2022 12:03

That just looks like clots to me. I have found I get more clots post babies and the older I get.

tmiperiod · 08/09/2022 12:03

Oh is it? I didn't know 😞 I didn't know you get clots
It all sort of rushed out like that I've just thrown away my knickers and it went all over the sofa I'm so embarrassed and I know my husband won't care but I feel disgusting
I was going to ring my doctor I didn't know it was ok for clots
Thank you for the reassurance

All my periods are like that. It's not pleasant but you will be OK.

Best wishes to you. x

Wherehasthecommonsensegone · 08/09/2022 12:11

This is about 1/20th of the size of the clots I get so very normal.

AmberGer · 08/09/2022 12:12

Looks normal to me. I'm rubbish with towels and tampons and always flood. Much with a menstrual cup. No leaks.

RoseDog · 08/09/2022 12:18

That's mild compared to day 3 for me, I use tena nighttime pads for the first 3 or 4 days of my period it's the only thing that can cope with the carnage!

Jammysod · 08/09/2022 12:19

Pretty normal for me too.
If it's not normal for you there is no harm in speaking to the doctor about it.

tmiperiod · 08/09/2022 12:23

Ok I'm very reassured by this

Gosh that sounds really hard for a lot of you

Have you tried tranexamic acid for the bleeding? @RoseDog

Since I've had children I've had big clots in my periods, even more so now I'm perimenopausal. The last period I had a huge clot, like a big lump of liver! Sorry TMI I know!

TheWitchersWife · 08/09/2022 12:26

Post kids my periods are horrendous.
Clots at least 10 times the size of yours, I actually feel them coming out as they are so big.
Also plenty of "gushes" that no tampon or pad can fully handle.
I have to wear a tampon and 2 pads, one at the front and one at the back of my pants.
And I have to change my heavy flow tampon every hour.
This is all normal for me post children 😫

sarahc336 · 08/09/2022 12:29

Quite normal in the post Partum period op, periods can be quite heavy in the months after you've had your baby x

Bexlily · 08/09/2022 12:43

I had similar after having my first, I only had the one really heavy period and then my body went back to its usual routine after that.

Oh god you poor poor thing how scary

We all talk about periods and flow but until I visualise someone else's it's very hard to know if it's normal isn't it? I bet you got a fright when that happened

newtb · 08/09/2022 12:47

I had clots about 5 x that size from 14, knew no different.

pinklillie · 08/09/2022 12:51

I used maternity pads for the first few periods after I gave birth. They are horrendous aren't they! Hope you feel better soon

Lougle · 08/09/2022 14:04

Very normal. Your body is shedding the lining of the womb, so there will be clots.

Lougle · 08/09/2022 14:05

Also, it looks worse because your pad has soaked up the liquid blood, leaving the clots behind.

xogossipgirlxo · 08/09/2022 14:06

It’s normal. You’re only 6months Pp, your body still goes through lot of hormonal changes

TrueNorthernBird · 08/09/2022 14:15

Not had kids and mine are far far far more clotty than that. Always have been.
