I don’t feel well.

i feel hungover. Which is sad because I’ve not had and gin for months and months. And my back hurts. And I’ve got a headache. And I feel a bit nauseous. And I’m really really tired. and there’s nobody around to pat my brow and make me a cup of tea which is also sad.

Sorry you’re feeling bad :( if you’re able to get up make yourself a cuppa, it’ll be worth it!

badger2005 · 08/09/2022 12:07

Poor you! Are you at work, or could you go for a bit of a rest? My recommendation is: take two paracetamol with a glass of water. Then have a warm bath or shower, maybe. Make yourself a Cup of tea (as pp - it will be worth it) and find something easy to eat like a couple of crackers or biscuits. Then pop to bed with a relaxing book or radio podcast. See how you feel in a couple of hours.

im supposed to be working (at home) but might bin it and catch up tomorrow.

Good idea - if you can make up the hours tomorrow without problems then I would definitely rest - if you don't feel better in a couple of hours then take the whole day. Be kind to yourself, and take care!💐

I am loathe to mention the C word but this is exactly how I felt when I had Covid recently.
The hangover feeling without the fun of a few drinks. Hope you feel better soon.

nachoavocado · 08/09/2022 12:19

Sounds covidy?

QuestionableMouse · 08/09/2022 12:21

I reckon you've got Covid, sorry. ☹️☹️

Can you order a cuppa in? Maybe a nice coffee or hot choc? Might be expensive but it's worth it if you're feeling rubbish.

FlissyPaps · 08/09/2022 12:24

Have you got any lateral flows?

Lots of water, rest, take some paracetamol or ibuprofen if you can, heat pack/hot water bottle for your back. Don’t stare at your phone or laptop screen. Bin work off for today - it won’t be the end of the world.

OneSmallBox · 08/09/2022 12:27

Oh bugger that hadn’t occurred to me.

Have some lovely drugs (legal), a nice cup of tea and a nap. I'm sure you deserve it.

OneSmallBox · 08/09/2022 12:36

LFT negative. Phew.

REP22 · 08/09/2022 12:36

OneSmallBox · 08/09/2022 12:36

LFT negative. Phew.

Mine was on the first day. I'd test again tomorrow just to be safe.

OneSmallBox · 08/09/2022 12:43

pathetically grateful for sympathy. How utterly feeble of me.
going to have a nap.

QuestionableMouse · 08/09/2022 12:45

It's not feeble at all! Hope you're soon feeling better ❤️

roarfeckingroarr · 08/09/2022 12:54

Sounds like pregnancy to me! I've felt hungover for the past 19 weeks,

timeforthebeach · 08/09/2022 13:21

I would test again in a couple of days. I didn't show as positive until about a week after the first symptoms.

REP22 · 08/09/2022 17:13

You're not feeble. It's OK to be not OK.

Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon. x

QuestionableMouse · 08/09/2022 20:56

How are you feeling, @OneSmallBox ?

OneSmallBox · 08/09/2022 21:02

Bless you, I’m fine. Tired though.
felt totally pathetic earlier hence the cry for sympathy. Much appreciated.

QuestionableMouse · 10/09/2022 12:25

Not pathetic 😊

I think it's perfectly natural to want a bit of sympathy! ❤️😊

Entwifery · 10/09/2022 12:56

You have my sympathy, I've felt like this every day for years. Wake up feeling hungover - nausea, headache, body feels sore. It's hard to cope with
