To ask for sympathy, even though I don’t deserve it

(Somewhat) lightheaded thread.

Feeling extremely crap tonight. Really bad cramps, sickness and diarrhoea. I can’t even get some sleep because of the constant waves of nausea.

Over the last 24 hours I have had a fantastic binge and eaten a lot but I’ll highlight the most important things- a sharing bar of milk chocolate, 3 magnums, cheese pizza, hot chocolate with cream, a scone with cream, milk with my cereal, more chocolate, more ice cream.

Just to clarify- lactose and me are not friends. At all. Seriously lactose can just fuck right off.

Well, if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions. I’ve got nobody to blame but myself- at the time I thought fuck it, I’ll just eat what I want and it will all work out. Now it’s 2am, I’ll be up all night with this and I have a very important day at work tomorrow.

Any thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated although fully undeserved.

the worst part is that I know the exact same thing will happen again. ironically I don’t even like dairy- at least I didn’t when I could eat it, but now I can’t and suddenly it’s the food of the gods and I must eat it 24/7.

Well thats a lot of dairy even for someone who likes it and isn't intolerant 😮 Also a hell of a lot of sugar which isn't helpful for digestion problems.

Do you have any rennies or other indigestion products?

I hear you OP. I'm a compulsive overeater and I've lost counts of the number of nights my sleep has been disrupted after crazy overeating, literally stuffing myself with food. And I could not stop. Literally could not. I would tell myself I'd never buy that stuff again then two minutes later I would be walking out of the Co-op with bags of sweet and sugary binge foods. By the end I was binging after breakfast even!

The only thing that worked for me was Overeaters Anonymous oa.org/. It's set up like AA but for overeaters. It focuses on spiritual and emotional health as well as physical overeating. Doing OA means I can have 3 meals a day with nothing in between. Happy to chat about it if you want to DM me.

No judgement here OP, just sorry you're feeling so poorly. Obviously not super helpful now but in case it helps for another time, I'm moving towards being dairy free for other reasons and have recently discovered dairy free magnums which give me the ice cream and chocolate fix without the dairy, and are genuinely excellent. Can't actually tell the difference! Might be worth a try if you fancy something like that again but without the misery afterwards? Sounds like self-sabotage to me. Have you thought of doing a CBT course? I’m finding it really helpful.

Poor you, hope you are feeling a bit better or even asleep OP. Please seek help for the binges, before they cause longterm damage.
