How to keep shirts white

Hi all

Eldest just started secondary school and wears white shirts

How do you keep these shirts white and new looking?

When I was at secondary myself I remember my shirts looking off white, and the neckline faded, and underarms on the shirt yellowing or stiff with deodorant

I remember seeing other children's shirts looking as though they had just taken them from the wrapper new

So please give me tips on this

I put a colour catcher in every white watch.
Some can come out a bit grey.

I put white vinegar in my white washes and my bedding washes for the boys.

Antibacterial liquid for washes from Tesco into the bedding washes.

Bedding and whites perfectly white.

Apparently soap is far better for boys to wash with.
I buy lovely french lemon bars in TKMax.
No gels here, they are useless IMO.

Apparently a paste of bicarbonate of soda mixed with white vinegar and rubbed into under arm stains, and left for 20 minutes pre a wash, is very effective.

I read a tip on here a while ago for smelly bo armpit clothes, before washing wet armpits and rub with antibacterial hand wash - it actually works!!!

Not just boys - all people.

It's not a BO smell DS has its hard to describe kind of sweet but horrible. Something to do with testosterone I was told. Maybe I should dump him in vanish 😂

@justasking111 i know exactly what you mean. My ds11 has this weird smell in his room. I hoover it daily, sheets changed on a 60 wash twice a week, antibac everything once-twice a week. He baths/showers every day, always has, never ever missed. Wtaf is the smell?!!

To add, I don’t think puberty is at play yet either. God help me when it does 🙄
