Facial suncream 365 days of the year! Get one that suits your skin type i.e if it’s oily/dry. I love the La Roche Posay anti shine suncream. It’s factor 50+. Other than that it’s trial and error as to what products work for your skin.

MarsupiIami · 06/09/2022 21:45

Carmex lip balm and azelaic acid cream.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 06/09/2022 21:46

Cerave miccelair water, cleanser and moisturizer.

MintyGreenDreams · 06/09/2022 21:46

Cerave miccelair water, cleanser and moisturizer.

If I was doing a longer list I'd add these and Paula's choice BHA lotion and youth extender moisturiser.

BakedTattie · 06/09/2022 21:58

I like The Ordinary’s skin care I use daily the hyaluronic acid serum from there.

I like Nivea soft face moisturiser for daytime, and good old fashioned ponds cold cream for at night.

loudlylikealion · 06/09/2022 21:59

What type of skin do you have?

Pleasecouldihavesomeadvice · 06/09/2022 22:00

Retinol or tretinoin
sunscreen
Aquaphor

Hi OP! We're thinking this might fit better on the Chat or more specifically the beauty board as opposed to AIBU.

Let us know which you'd prefer.

neverbeenskiing · 06/09/2022 22:06

I think it depends on your skin type, and your age to an extent. Skincare products I swear by might not suit someone else, and I've definitely tried products that get rave reviews from others but did absolutely nothing for my skin.

Personally, I've never found a cleanser that suits my sensitive skin better than Simple brand face wash. I follow that with No 7 lift and luminate serum and La Roche Possay Effeclar Duo moisturiser in the morning, and No 7 Protect and Perfect Advanced Night Cream before bed. I also use Clinique All About Eyes eye cream morning and night.

vondutch · 07/09/2022 00:21

@ImaniMumsnet yes sure!!!

I love the garden of wisdom vitamin c and ferulic acid serum.
I also like temple spa windows of the soul eye cream.

Everley · 07/09/2022 03:31

Clinisoothe, used as a toner.

Derrymum123 · 07/09/2022 04:59

O'Keeffe's dry skin lotion. Brilliant.

bodie1890 · 07/09/2022 05:33

All the clinique products I have used have been good.

lickenchugget · 07/09/2022 06:04

Facetheory, especially the Retinol Pro moisturiser

Fingernails4Cash · 07/09/2022 06:24

Lots of recommendations here for products with retinol, acids, Paula's choice etc. If I so much as look at these my skin has a massive angry red reaction and takes around a week to heal. If trying these for the first time then try samples in shop first on an inconspicuous area of skin.

As someone prone to zits even in my middle age I swear by a double cleanse (ie wash twice) using drunken elephant peekee soap bar.

Malin + goetz vitamin E cream day and night.

jeaux90 · 07/09/2022 06:59

Medik 8 they are a British brand and amazing quality

LondonQueen · 07/09/2022 07:29

the ordinary AHA/BHA mask, cheap and very effective.
