Mumsnet has a post found on the thread, but not an OP Count. If I read an interesting thread title with say, 40 responses, I'll often go in to read it.

I'll then find that the OP hasn't responded from their original starter for ten,

Except on rare occasions, I usually only want to read posts where the OP is genuinely engaged. An OP post count would help me avoid some goady threads, and those where the OP posts and runs.

Anyone else?

You can click see all on the first post and it will tell you how many times the op has posted?

LadySilence · 04/09/2022 22:41

You can see if the OP has only posted once as it just says 'see all' at the bottom whereas when there's multiple posts it also says 'see next' 🙂

I think I have to actually go into the post to see these options, if I'm right?

I'd like to avoid clicking on them altogether.

This is more than a bit precious.

How much of your life would it take up to click 'See All' after going into a thread, and clicking 'Back' twice if the OP hasn't posted your requisite number of times?

CantFindTheBeat · 04/09/2022 22:47

Doesn't feel precious to me, @Lockheart

UserExperience is paramount, and all that.

Good idea, but then no-one would click on posts at all.
I tend to leave posts where the OP has only posted initial post and not returned, on the first page.

CantFindTheBeat · 04/09/2022 23:32

Me too, @Geepee71 , but I've decided my click is now too precious!!!

I'd rather have a way to see if the OP has added any additional comments since I last book marked. Rather than having to remember the post count!

Agreed!

I mean, I know technology is supposed to make our lives easier, but this is stretching it a bit.
