Feeling scared about Winter and what's to come

I know there have been threads of recent regarding energy prices and the worry associated with all of that, but I'm actually quite scared about the looming winter and the changes we will see. Will life become very different from what we've all been used to? I guess a lot of us have been quite spoilt up until now and taken a lot for granted. I'm worried about how people will struggle (including myself and DH), about businesses not surviving and job losses, food price increases, potential power cuts, people who live alone and will be scared/lonely. It's making me almost feel like we are heading into a war. As the dark nights are starting to draw in I can feel my anxiety about the future becoming worse. My DH isn't a worrier at all, but I know even he feels on edge. Anyone else feeling the same?

It's just the fear of the unknown. My best advice is limit your news intake and try to occupy your evenings when everything worrying can be amplified.
Its not going to be great but try as best to distract yourself as best you can.

O and stay away from doomsday threads on here.

Im not generally a worrier and have never been a prepper but i do have a constant feeling of unease at the moment. I think its natural when things seem to be changing so much at the moment and its made worse by the fact that we dont have a strong functioning government right now which leaves us feeling like were on our own.

When we had power cuts in the 70’s, we knew when they were going to happen.
Yes, it’s going to be different, but we’re not locked down so plenty of opportunities for people to see others.
‘As PP said, stay away from the news.
