It's the aftermath of covid primarily. I'm in a big friendship group atatched to an old workplace, we meet up intermittently and its just a group of lovely, supportive women. All ages and stages. At our dinner yesterday, we realised that two thirds of the group had had a bereavement, half had children who have developed severe mental health issues and haven't returned to school and help is thin on the ground. It struck us all that this is going to be a long legacy. Not sure why I'm posting really, just to share I suppose. We are not a particularly negative group, we call ourselves the game old birds. We have of course kept up with each other but everything has happened in dribs and drabs and when we met and talked it all through we realised how big it was cumulatively.
