A close family member is in hospital at the minute. Sorry for being vague with what relation it is but I'm pretty sure a sibling is on here and don't want to out myself.
Anyway they're a smoker but they're not allowed to leave the ward on their own so they're constantly craving a cigarette. The hospital staff don't have the time to ferry them up and down, obviously, so they look to me and another family member to go there and take them outside.
Me and the other family member have been taking it in turns to go most days to see them and the highlight of those visits, for them, is getting taken off the ward to go outside and smoke.
Truth be told it's wearing a bit thin now and I just can't be bothered. I have a job, children and other responsibilities.
WIBU to simply say that I'm not doing it anymore? Other family member keeps trying to guilt trip me into going when she can't be arsed herself.
They'll be discharged shortly at which point they can smoke to their hearts content and won't rely on me to facilitate it.
