cafe loo dilema!

oatmilkicedchai · 04/09/2022 16:51

I am in a cafe and need the loo - have done for a little while now.

I have my laptop with me, but am not too sure whether it feels safe to ask the person sitting next to me if could keep an eye on my laptop whilst I am gone for a few minutes as I don't feel that comfortable with the idea of asking them specifically.

Do I:

a) take my laptop to the loo with me, which is a bit inconvenient and may look weird but?

b) just leave my laptop on the table and hope no one steals it?

c) simply suck it up and ask the person next to her on the assumption she probably isn't a thief?

Before anyone suggests I just move to another table once I am back from the loo - can't do that as I have a disability (hidden one - I am not a wheelchair user) which means I need this seat specifically.

Thanks for your help!

Ask the person

Pleasecouldihavesomeadvice · 04/09/2022 16:52

A

take your expensive laptop with you. But leave a bag or coat to reserve table

cookiegardencat · 04/09/2022 16:53

leave your coat on the table, something of minimal value. but take your laptop with you

Burnt0utMum · 04/09/2022 16:54

Just take it with you. What does it matter if it looks weird? I'd rather that than the regret if it did get stolen. I doubt anyone would think it's weird anyway. It's common sense to keep your valuables with you even if it's slightly inconvenient.

Okay! Thank you :)

heading to the loo with laptop and will leave jumper and water bottle on table, hoping for the best!
