We have had no rain at all for 6 weeks. Local farmers are very worried about their crops. The radar has shown heavy rain over this area several times but not a drop has fallen. We get a grey haze for most of the day and then it clears and no rain.

Farmers have warned this will have “really severe impacts”, including leading to smaller vegetables being harvested. Coming on top of a surge in the cost of fertiliser and fuel for farmers, there are mounting fears this could further inflate prices for staple groceries.

I think we have too many things to worry about all at once. So while I think you’re right I haven’t got the head space to worry. Sorry.

You may not be able to get exactly the food we need, but no-one is going to be starving. Please don’t worry.

I thought that the weather over the last year had actually led to some really good harvests for some crops?

Its currently lashing of rain here in lovely Glasgow and is to continue for the next 7 days! I really wish we could send some down south for a break and to help out the farmers 😪
