Loved this when it came out, it's not commonly played now but luckily popped into my head.

Any other bangers I'll have forgotten from back in the day? I'm late 30s btw so 90s are my jam

Gwen Stefani you absolute legend

VanishingViolet · 04/09/2022 00:19

But I really can’t leave this band off a 90’s thread! (Again sorry if already posted)!

I bought a copied tape in Turkey in the early 90’s! There were loads of shops everywhere selling them! Played this album to death, on my Walkman while on holiday!

Bloody loved this album and it will always be one of my favourites.

XelaM · 04/09/2022 00:24

I know Freddie died in 1991, but Show Must Go On was released in 1991 I believe. I'm a massive Queen/Freddie fan and was throughout my teens (after his death). I used to be an absolute expert on every detail of his life 😀

powershowerforanhour · 04/09/2022 00:27

You all had a copy of this movie soundtrack right?

I'm a bit older than you but 'Show Me Heaven' was my favourite romantic pop one I still sing it round the kitchen.

'Dress' by PJ Harvey the most chirpy indie one

For dance ones- N Trance, Set You Free

OldFan · 04/09/2022 00:32

I bet someone's mentioned Tori Amos already too of course. Little Earthquakes album. After that she got less good, but I think she's shown some potential again recently.

takemetotahiti · 04/09/2022 00:35

This little gem.... so many great 90's tunes

powershowerforanhour · 04/09/2022 00:42

^ah that brings back memories. That album was a great one to put on after a night out. Sexy Boy indeed.

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 04/09/2022 00:47

Born Slippy came on the radio the other week there as I drove to work and I had to fight the urge to smash my head through the windscreen and tell passers by "MEGA MEGA!!! " now that is a choon😆

Stigsmother · 04/09/2022 00:48

I can't post the link, cos I am technologically challenged, but may I offer Miss Chatelaine, by KD Lang, so uplifting 😁

HarmlessPotato · 04/09/2022 00:50

Loved Nirvana so much. Watched this over and over on MTV. Also, any one who watched Shallow Grave might remember this track

IcakethereforeIam · 04/09/2022 00:52

Pretty Fly (for a white guy) by the Offspring, when the guitar kicks in at the intro Smile makes me happy

HarmlessPotato · 04/09/2022 00:53

Absolutely loved Space. Another song by them I loved was "Neighbourhood"

powershowerforanhour · 04/09/2022 01:10

Generation Sex has more 90s references in it- particularly the scathing
"A mourning nation weeps and wails
But keeps the sales
Of evil tabloids healthy"

But I'll choose a more cheerful ditty for my Divine Comedy offering:

HarmlessPotato · 04/09/2022 01:13

@pitterypattery00

Ditto!

TooHotToRamble · 04/09/2022 01:34

Dreamingof3 · 03/09/2022 20:55

Never heard this song before in my life 😬

Me neither!

I do wonder sometimes if I missed most of the late 90s though having a baby!

gnilliwdog · 04/09/2022 01:34

TittleTattleOh · 03/09/2022 22:47

That is a beautiful song.

Early Jamiroquai was the bomb!

We are the same age so I suppose I was too.
Ah, youth...
