British Gas bills...

I’ve just received a monthly British Gas bill! I assumed it was a mistake but it has payment date of 16 September. I normally get billed every 6 months in June and December. I’ve just paid June bill and received a bill for August!
Anyone else experienced this and know why?
I can’t check with them now as offices are closed.
Am I being unreasonable?

Maybe there’s a computer issue and it’s changed your account settings.

God knows. They are a law onto themselves.
in the last year, I had a bill for 30 days, then for 60 days (in this one, the bill actually overlapped the previous bill by 5 days, so they tried to double charge me for 5 days), then a bill for 11 days, then a bill for 90 days.
they are fucking incompetent.
I ended up making a formal complaint and asking for the whole lot to be redone from the date I moved in, so I could see what the heck was happening.
I haven’t yet had a bill since 11 June. It’s literally impossible to know if you are in credit/debit with them
