To think £350 for a 3 night city break is a great deal

For two, around Christmas time. 3 night hotel stay and flights to a European destination. Site is legitimate as used previously.

YABU - cost of living crisis, better to save
YANBU - do it

What city?

Midpmcoffee · 02/09/2022 15:14

Worryingly cheap.

3 night break at Christmas time in Europe including flights? I’d be expecting £650 upwards.

And how the heck can anyone advise whether you should be saving due to the cost of living crisis without knowing the slightest Info about your finances.

if you are on bones of arse, completely reckless for an anonymous poster who knows you from Adam to say “go for it”!

incognitopurple · 02/09/2022 15:14

@Yajebbend Prague, Tripadvisor hotel has four stars and there’s a package of the same price for another hotel of equal standard.

Berlin is at a similar price

@Midpmcoffee doesn’t include luggage or transfers and is Ryanair FYI. I take your point it was meant to be lighthearted as to whether it’s a good deal or not!

It’s a good deal if you can afford it

Ah your op indicated you weee asking if you should go or stay based on cost of livings rises!

no, I would not regard this as a good deal as it’s simply too cheap and I suspect not at all central, in a soulless business district with graveyard timed flights

DancingBudgie · 02/09/2022 15:51

It depends on...
Proximity of the hotel to the city.
Flight times.
If the hotel is b&b or room only.
How much the transfer would cost.
If you're taking hold baggage, how much it costs.
Factor all that in and it might not be the cheap deal that you're expecting.
When I book a city break, I tend to build it myself as it more often works out cheaper than a package.

incognitopurple · 02/09/2022 16:11

Central hotel, flights are evening ones both ways but it’s the only time they fly.

I feel impulsive but I’ve just done it. Wanted to secure the low price. It’s something to look forward to and I am quite sure savings can be made elsewhere. I love Christmas.

Have a wonderful time! It’s good to be impulsive sometimes. I’d love to go to Prague: it’s going to be amazing. I adore Christmas too and want to soak myself in every shiny bauble and every day of it. This summer has gone on and on and on and I know it will only get worse, so let’s make the most of sparkle and long dark nights while we can!

Don’t forget to report back!

Hesma · 02/09/2022 17:27

£350 each? Think that’s ok

balalake · 02/09/2022 18:11

It's Ryanair. Will it really only be £350 or will there be extra charges, say for your luggage. Check if they use the real Prague airport.

Sirzy · 02/09/2022 18:19

It’s a good price for flights and accommodation but don’t forget to factor in the other costs
