Getting so angry over tech problems/customer service

Today I couldn't work out how to do something on my website. I was literally foaming inside as I'd done it before but couldn't remember how. Then I couldn't find a help number on the website but we all know they hide these things and try and make you read through pages of instructions rather than answer a call. I struggle with any helpline that potentially involves calling and waiting for ages, usually to get through first and then when I do, usually taking an hour or more to resolve. I yearn for the days when you could call up for help and a human being answered quickly. Is it just me?

No.
My local providers have looked after me for 15 years without putting a foot wrong. No call centre, just human beings dedicated to helping me get back up & running after any problems/maintenance. Internet, MS365, 2 separate email accounts & a support package.

They offer a nationwide service & do that "drive my computer from your office" thing for remote fixes. So if you'd like to get a quote from them - pm me.

It's frustrating. I hate clicking "contact us" and being redirected through a loop of faqs -click one, "did this answer your question - contact us" no, click link...back to faq, "still struggling...click here" - back to the contents of the faq....or a chat bot...linking to the faq.

Worse is when their faq says to 'call us to cancel/amend this detail", they don't give the number and then every link sends you back to the faq.

You get a page of numbers...100% one is an automated line for account checks etc.

The other 3 are apparently definitely not customer services.

Finally find the right number....call number....on hold for ages with a cheery voice "did you know you deal with most queries online...use our faq to help answer questions"

Who asks all these frequently asked questions....they are never the question I want to ask. If they are....the answer is usually "you can't do that...call customer services (on the super secret number we don't put here)"
