How much contact?

NC as could be outing.

Colleague on long term sick. I work 3 days a week. Over the past 2 months I have had 2 weeks annual leave.

Since he's been off I have either spoken to him, visited him at home, emailed him or text him once a week.

They have complained that I haven't contacted them enough and that I'm not being supportive. After every contact made (even when I was on leave) I said that if he ever needed anything I was only at the end of the phone.

I'm actually I'm really fucking pissed off with him. I have a team if 10 other people, not just him. What more am I supposed to do?

Once a week apart from your annual leave is absolutely plenty. Maybe speak to HR to find out what the process is regarding how much is adequate contact and how you should be supporting them?

I'm NHS and our sickness policy has set guidelines on the level of contact after so long
Etc etc
What does the policy say??

It's really really hard as someone else could say that's too much!! You can't win in these situations maybe go back to them and ask them what they feel would be reasonable?? But Id there is a policy follow that and id not suggest one to HR!
