I went to an event yesterday. I asked a staff member a question. he put his arm around me with his hand resting on my lower back. There was no invitation for him to do this and it made me uncomfortable.
I wish I said something at the time but I just got away as soon as possible.

AIBU to report this to the company? Although I feel like “nothing happened”, it made me uncomfortable. I think turning a blind eye to things like this add to a culture where people think it is ok to touch others without invitation.

Report if you want. It wouldn't have bothered me.

Yes, report. You're right

Depends what the event was? If it was a church meeting and he was ushering you towards the tea and coffee then no I would not be reporting (it was probably just kindness). If it was a rape survivors group and he looked predatory (you can pick up on these vibes) then yes I would report.
