I left his on Monday morning and left my shoes a dress and a top! My lovely £20 hair oils and some toiletries. would you go get it Or would you just re buy everything again and accept it for what it is😩 he is a cheat so that’s why things ended but kind of want my stuff back.

No I would just leave them and get more stuff.

MachineBee · 31/08/2022 18:00

How much are your travel costs? I’d consider whether it was worth it against the value of what you left. It’s just stuff and can be replaced.

buzzbuzzybuzz · 31/08/2022 18:02

Does he know where you have moved to? He could post it if you pay him once received?

Wanttorunawayforever · 31/08/2022 18:03

100 mile round trip probably about £15! Could cry right about now but I don’t want to see him again.

I would go and get them. Can you arrange to call around whilst your ex is out?

LadyCatStark · 31/08/2022 18:05

For all of those things, yes. It’ll add up to quite a lot to replace everything. Just hold your head high, look amazing, take them and never look back.

Cakecakecheese · 31/08/2022 18:26

I'd just leave it but if you really want the stuff can you take someone with you and they go collect it while you wait in the car?

Wanttorunawayforever · 31/08/2022 18:44

I just want my stuff back don’t want him throwing them away. Their only cheap new look £40 heels but I wear them often. And my hair oils it was a full bottle I could cry!

I may just have to suck it up and go get them.

I would get them tbh.
Take a friend. Blast the music.

GettingItOutThere · 31/08/2022 22:17

i would get them, i would not leave them it would annoy me

I am also petty and requested some pointless shit back before now from an ex a long time ago

blisstwins · 31/08/2022 22:19

Go with a friend and get. Fuck him.

Parcel2go.com are usually very reasonably priced for sending parcels!

Gaveitall · 31/08/2022 22:25

Send him a one line text asking him to retain - for now.

Let the pain settle around your heart in your head and then, when you’re feeling less hurt & upset, make the trip.

Take a friend so she/he can go to his door to fetch it.
Do it with dignity.

Tothemoonandbackx · 31/08/2022 22:48

I wouldn't personally go round, I've made that mistake before and he ended up worming his way round me and I stayed with him for another couple of months, it was hell. Get him to send them to you, or if you don't want him to do that, go with a friend or relative and get them to get them for you so you don't have to see him face to face.

OnTheBrinkOfChange · 01/09/2022 10:05

I would take a friend, park round the corner, ask her to go there with a list. If you have a male friend that would be better.

hangrylady · 01/09/2022 10:32

I'd ask a friend or family member to get them, pay them petrol money and treat them to lunch.
