AIBU to apply for a job at a Union?

Posting for traffic and name changed as don't want this linked my other account just in case my current employer gets wind of my job hunting.

Does anyone on here work for one of the TUC unions? And, if so, can you let me know what work/life balance is like? Are they accommodating of flexible working requests etc? Are you working hybrid/remote/or fully in office? Would you describe the union you work for as family friendly? (I know they're not a monolith but am looking for a steer really. I would hope they would be family friendly but lots of people imagine working in school family friendly too when it often isn't).

I am looking at leaving teaching asap for a whole host of reasons and have seen a few union jobs come up, but for some of them it isn't clear at all whether they are flex work friendly or not. Like lots of women I'm finding my job hunt parameters pretty narrow due to childcare responsibilities.
