To say I really can't stand my husband when he's poorly

I don't know if it's just me being a generally unsympathetic person or not but I can't stand my husband when he's unwell.

He acts like a child, mopes around (when he's not lying there for the whole day looking like the sorriest person in the world for himself), will go on and on and onnnnnnnnnnnnn about how terrible it is, expects to be waited on hand and foot.

I take it back, he's not like a child, he's WORSE than our children.

He's off work today with a cold (the same cold we've all had and just had to crack on with) and I can't look at him anymore with his silly put on miserable 'look how poorly I am' face. He's an utter manchild when he's like this and it's so unattractive.

YANBU. Just ignore him.

What was he like when you were sick? Bet he expected you to just get on with it?

Just ignore him and don't do anything to help him. "It's a cold, not a life threatening disease get on with it." Every time he expects you to do something.

Oh this reminds me of the Dressing Gown of Doom thread.

Should give you a laugh OP:

Oh but it's "never as bad" when I'm sick.

I solved this years ago when exh did this. Absolutely agree they look sooo poorly and help them up to bed. Make all the 'right' noises as you hold their arm.
Then get on with your day.
It bloody works.
And feels amazing..
It will be a one off I promise.

Just say the same to him, that his as not as bad as yours was. Keep ignoring him.
