Is something wrong with me?

Husgband and I don't have a great relationship- we sort of chug along but conversation is very difficult between us. He has a habit of asking and answering questions and I find this monologue very tedious - that's a long story but there was another finger pointing exercise yesterday and I just needed a break- I informed him and my daughter that I'm going for a long walk and I took the car, got myself a coffee and sat in a common watching some people play cricket- for 2.5 hrs. I didn't even notice the time- it was the best time I've had in ages- I actually watched the cricket without my mind racing, I tasted the coffee, I felt calm and I could be my self- is it wrong to enjoy being by myself?

It’s normal to enjoy your own company. Would you be okay if your husband did the same?

Usernamestillloading · 29/08/2022 13:51

@AnneLovesGilbert absolutely- our marriage is not great so if it helps hime I've got no issues- infact I suggested it to him-

He can take our daughter for lessons etc on Saturday so I get the day and I do the same on Sunday so he gets the day- but he thinks its weird

How old is your daughter?

Thedungeondragon · 29/08/2022 13:54

There is nothing wrong with you, but it does sound like your marriage might have run its course.
