Hi,

Thinking of buying one.

Is it worth spending for a real one or are there any ones which do the same thing but cheaper.

Please let me know your experience.

I have a real one & a fake Amazon 1 - definitely think the Amazon 1 is just as warm. I find the real oodie slinger but not warmer.

What do you mean slinger?

I have a kuddly and love it. I took it camping and was toasty.

TiredzzZZ · 28/08/2022 22:26

Have I entered a parallel universe? (What's an oodie?)

Beanie567 · 28/08/2022 22:28

Real oodie definitely warmer by a long shot.

MouseRoar · 28/08/2022 22:28

I have the Primark version and it's lovely and cosycompare. Have never tried other brands so can't compare

JobSeekingMissile · 28/08/2022 22:28

Kuddly are best - we have both in our house. Use them instead of heating in the winter. Good offers on atm too

Whostoblame · 28/08/2022 22:28

I have a couple from Amazon - a "the comfy" and a "snuggly" one I think, the snuggly one is top notch. Keeps you super warm and washes well keeping it's fluffiness. It was about £25

salcombebabe · 28/08/2022 22:30

A real Oodie without a doubt! Thick, warm, long, oversized and so snuggly! Worth every Penny when it’s cold.

Workyticket · 28/08/2022 22:31

I have an Amazon one and it's bloody fabric - keeps me toasty!

I actually have 2, I bought a floor length one because either love my knee length one but it's just too hot

I also look like a big fat marshmallow in it!

MummyTo2GorgeousMunchkins · 28/08/2022 22:31

I’ve bought my kids one from Dunelm (£18) and they love them.

TheLostNights · 28/08/2022 22:32

Mine is Primark. Got one last year but wasn't really cold enough to wear it, apart from the odd day.

MarmiteCoriander · 28/08/2022 22:34

Australian relative sent me a real version last year. Its enormous and cosy. We are renovating though, and living in a static van with gas. I rarely wore it though due to the worry about cooking with gas and the billowy sleeves and body- all synthetic fibres 😱

Warm yes- but I would prefer if it had a zip down the front to open when you get too hot. Can't compare to cheaper versions- sorry.

ToastandJamandTea · 28/08/2022 22:36

A real oodie is miles better for warmth but they are very heavy. My dc prefer the Primark versions.
They may change their tune come this winter though!

Neverplayleapfrogwithaunicorn · 28/08/2022 22:39

I have an icosy and an oodie and they are both of equal quality

Jennywren1975 · 28/08/2022 22:43

The real Oodie was recommended by my friend. I got DH to order me one for Christmas. £49+ £4.99 postage on orders under £50.
My friend said this was a good price as hers cost more when bought in winter.

GetOffTheRoof · 28/08/2022 22:46

The real Oodie is 100% the best. Super thick, super heavy, absoltuely enormous even if you're plus sized. I absolutely lived in mine last winter for WFH. I've just ordered a new Oodie dressing down for this winter to replace my super thin elderly one. Can't WAIT!

Nuisancepenguin · 28/08/2022 22:49

Try the John Lewis version, that’s what I have.
