To enjoy my own company

So, nobody knows this about me as everybody says I am very sociable etc, I have loads of friends that I see very frequently etc but I find myself exhausted by it. I would happily go months not having anything planned with them as I just love being on my own. Hosting anything at my house completely drains me and sometimes I really struggle with certain people with conversation although nobody has ever pulled me up on it so can’t be obvious!

I love my own company, I don't intend on seeing a single soul this weekend! I'm also sociable but, on my terms.

Thought I was being odd. DH was saying I should plan a night each week where I see friends as he goes out once a week, I’m really not fussed

I've got lots of friends that I socialise with regularly. I'm a member of lots of groups and go on lots of weekend breaks with them. DH and I have active social lives together and apart. However - I love being on my own whether shopping, reading, visiting gardens etc. Definitely need 'me time' away from everybody.I don't find it odd at all.

I'm exactly the same. If I tell people how much I like being on my own they are always surprised because I'm quite sociable when I'm around people.
