AIBU to try again right away?

Stopped bf 6 weeks ago now. Experienced two losses at 5 weeks both times since May (we've caught both times we tried). Trying for #2, no issues first time round.

DH is keen to try again immediately, but a few friends have suggested giving it a month or so to let my body settle down hormone wise after breastfeeding (I've had a short luteal phase of 8/9 days - hoping it's longer now I've stopped).

I am so scared of another miscarriage.

I've been prescribed progesterone pessaries and will take 75mg baby aspirin. Is there anything else I should or shouldn't be doing to give myself the best chance?

I'm on daily pregnacare, B complex, Vit D, CoQ10, I'm positively rattling with all the pills!

Due to ovulate in a few days and the EWCM has started and it's so tempting to just try again as I'm impatient but do you think I should wait a cycle?

Hi OP, didn’t want to read and run. I am so sorry for your losses. I don’t think anyone can really tell you what to do for the best, but it’s always good to get others’ experiences. I have had a relatively similar experience - had an early miscarriage in April whilst still breastfeeding. We did start trying again right away, and I am actually still breast feeding and am currently 14.5 weeks pregnant (though struggling with bad anxiety after our loss). If you’re keen to start trying again, you might as well go for it, there’s nothing to lose - unless you feel an extra bit of time might help you recover from your loss. Best of luck!

Really kind of you to reply @AKM89

I'm leaning towards trying again. I know I should be ovulating about now but I have very minimal EWCM and normally I get loads so I think ovulation is a bit later this month due to the miscarriage.

It's just so nerve wracking!

Congratulations to you :-)
