Cost of living/ maintenance payments

So with the cost of living going up and the price of everything increasing I’ve seen people asking recently if the child maintenance service will increase the amount of maintenance NRP have to pay, surely NRP have to pay for things as well? the cost of living is going up for everyone not just RP and I say this as someone who receives little to no maintenance at all from their ex aibu for thinking that people often forget that the NRP has to pay for food and bills?

Funnily enough my exh thought the cost of living crisis might be a good reason to pay less. Can’t argue with that logic 🙄

Totally misread your OP. Of course you’re being unreasonable. Or do you think an NRP’s needs come before those of their children.

The cost of living is going to increase for everyone, as far as I’m aware the cms have no plans to increase the amount of maintenance a nrp pays.
