Is there a bug going around?

I've felt constantly nauseous for the past three - four days but not actually been sick. Feels like car sickness feeling and nothing really alleviates it.

No chance of pregnancy and had covid again 4 weeks ago so can't be that.

My friend and my dad both said they have been the same the past few days so wondering has anyone else been feeling like this recently?

There are always hundreds of bugs/viruses going round.

CandyLeBonBon · 26/08/2022 23:23

Labrynthitis?

Stigsmother · 26/08/2022 23:26

For the last 19 days or so I have been: feeling a bit nauseous, but not been sick, a bit dizzy and lightheaded, headachey, aching in my joints, a bit feverish intermittently, and just generally unwell.
I am shattered, which with the general feeling of not being well, is the only permanent symptom. Everything else is intermittent, and I have had the "okay" day in between.
So yes I think there is a bug (or six ) going round, and I'm fed up of it! 😠🤒

Don'tknowwhichnametopick · 26/08/2022 23:48

@Stigsmother been the same, with awful headaches. Now coughing too. LFT tests are negative. Supposed to be out with friends tomorrow.

Somethingsnappy · 26/08/2022 23:55

All 4 of my kids have too. It's very unusual for them actually. Nothing but the odd cold usually. I can't think of a comparable bug in their lifetime (nausea, no sickness). It's a peculiar one.

chillipenguin · 26/08/2022 23:56

Could be the remains of your covid

wwyd2021medicine · 27/08/2022 00:21

Similar and recent covid

notagoodidea · 27/08/2022 00:29

Covid or monkey pox?

CityKittie · 27/08/2022 02:45

I felt exactly the same! Totally wiped out, fatigued, very high temp and nauseous all day along with some stomach cramps. I spent a day in bed and it seems to have resolved overnight.
Very odd - I tend not to get sick often (touch wood) so it came out of the blue. I’m assuming some fun viral bug doing the rounds. Get well soon!

Baoing · 27/08/2022 03:03

Oh my goodness, yes! I've literally been describing the way I've felt lately as being car sick - also had the joint aches. I've taken some Kwells and done neck/posture yoga - that's helped LOTS with the sickness.

The DC are feeling really sleepy as well - really tired, which is unusual for them. Also 2 of them are complaining of joint aches - they're young, it's completely unheard of for them.

I hadn't connected any dots 😳

Kerrrmieee · 27/08/2022 03:18

Have you all been vaccinated?

Kerrrmieee · 27/08/2022 03:19

Only saying as my brother suffered terrible vertigo and dizziness recently and that's been linked to the vaccine.

We actually thought that he'd had a stroke.

Riverlee · 27/08/2022 05:47

Dc has felt nauseous.

I’ve had really heavy, aches legs, as if I’ve just run a marathon and tiredness. Worse first thing and at night.

Notlosinganyweight · 27/08/2022 07:02

Sea swimming? Unfortunately I can feel a bit like this and have diarrhea after sea swimming. Lots of people hitting the beaches in the holidays too.

AlisonFayersKerr · 21/01/2023 11:42

Yes. I had fairly violent diarrhoea for no good reason and it lingered a day or two.

I was curious to know if anyone else has had the same thing. Is it a bug going around?
I’m in Oxford.

AlisonFayersKerr · 21/01/2023 11:43

Why do you ask?
