Pregnant and I’ve been eating so much turkey

I feel so so so stupid. I somehow didn’t realise it was a deli meat.

I have had FOUR turkey sandwiches this week. Obviously I won’t have anymore but I am so worried.

I’m 12 weeks.

could I have hurt the baby or is it mostly the risk of food poisoning?

I think people are much more into what foods to avoid etc in the US. I have a pregnant friend in the us who is like ‘can’t wait to eat eggs again!’ I have a 10 week old and never stopped eating eggs ! But wonder if it’s to do with food standards in us or something

It's definitely differences in food standards. In the UK eggs are lion marked and are tested to be free of salmonella. So there's no need to avoid eggs bought from mainstream shops.
