To think doctors receptionist may have pretended not to hear me on call

Maybe it was just a few coincidences that led me to think this but I have suspicions the doctors receptionist pretended to not hear me on a call and put the phone down.

What would you do? Nothing , no actual evidence and hope I was wrong or put the facts (no blunt accusations, but obviously it will still look accusatory) in an email in case someone has or does report similar ?

Thanks!

Just assume she couldn't hear you and forget about it unless it happens again.

You could be right, or it could be a fault on the line, my dentists phone line is awful and I can barely hear the receptionist when I phone up. Did you try ringing back?

AnnaFri · 26/08/2022 17:46

What motivation would she have to pretend?

BlackShoes · 26/08/2022 17:47

Tbh, although annoying, I would honestly just let it go. Complaint would just be a hassle and wouldnt change anything.

What were you saying?

It happens every so often at my work (actually quite often) We get a silent call but they ring straight back and say they could hear us and we apologise. No idea why it does it and I'd never purposely ignore someone. We did report it to our phone people but apparently the line is fine.

Let them know about it OP. We started noting down everytime it happened so it could be looked in to.
