My partner is very chatty, charismatic and funny, which is great and I love being with him. He's pretty popular and goes out a lot. I'm more reserved definitely, I think I'm nice to people but I'm just not charismatic like he is I don't feel.
I crossed a female friend of his with one of her own friends. The friend said to her other friend about me, "This is Robert's girlfriend, have you met Robert before? If you had you'd definitely know about it."
He was also told the other day he has a 'very big personality'. He loves me as I am which is great and hasn't tried to change me.
It's also brilliant that my mates like him, and that he makes an effort with them. I swear they laugh a lot more when he's around, and are generally just more 'engaged'.
I've got one friend who I almost felt was bored or distracted when with me on my own. She's generally a very subdued sort of person but when she sees him with me she's howling with laughter in a way I'd never seen her do.
I do wonder if some of them fancy him even though they have their own partners.
I just never see them act like this when they're just with me.
Anyway, I know I should just be glad they get on, which I certainly am. It just makes me wonder if my friends secretly find me a little boring or too quiet or whatever, as they're definitely different with him. Not much I can do I suppose.
