I know this was ages ago but the tv was on last night and they showed a rerun on one of them cable channels of Piers Morgan interviewing Cheryl Cole on the life stories. I noticed she didn't address the toilet assault incident where she got found guilty. Instead she talked extensively about how Ashley cheated on her etc and everything else but left that out.
AIBU to think that if you go on a show like that you address all the big stories about you whether they are favorable or not? Jamie Carragher spat at fans which I thought was horrendous but I respected that he totally admitted fault and apologised in interviews. Likewise Jade Goody acted like a racist bully on Big Brother but totally admitted fault and apologised after and there's alot to be said about that.
I then googled it and it appears she never apologised for it and maintained it was ''self defense..my brothers taught me that if somebody hits you then you hit them back'' and gave the same generic misleading answers in interviews when she was clearly found guilty and it wasn't self defense.
Whilst I respected Cole before this, this had made me look differently at her and lose respect as not once did she apologise or admit she was at fault. If she had I'd have respected her alot more. If she's being black, male or unattractive I don't think she'd have got off so easily with this.
